- Shoji Kojima is safe and all right in spite of the worst earthquake that hit our country. He has spent a night with some of our members (Machi Murata, Ayumi Yanagiya, Chiharu Okano, Junko Sujino...). When the first earthquake occured we was invited to a luncheon party held at the Spanish Embassy in Tokio with Yoko Komatsubara and Masami Okada. - canalflamencotv, the Spanish all-flamenco compucasting channel will broadcast a special program of La Celestina on March 1st at 8:00 p.m, Spain time (GMT+1). There will be another program on the 2nd at 2:00 p.m. and the 3th at 1:00 a.m. too (Spain time).
- On February 26th at 13:00 we held a press conference on Celestina at the Bodega de San Ginés, a winery near the Teatro Villamarta of the City of Jerez de la Frontera. Andalucía Información has put a picture on its website in which we can see, from left to rifht, Javier Latorre (choreographer & director), Kojima, Jesús Méndez (Jerez-born singer) and Chicuelo (musical director & guitarrist). The agent EFE has released a video of Kojima at a rehearsal studio.
- We are delighted to announce that we will be invited to the 15th Festival de Jerez with La Celestina, our latest work premiered in Tokio in 2009. - Motoharu Okubo has published a biography of Kojima: Pilgrim in quest of truth: Shoji Kojima and his world of flamenco (KADOKAWA SSCommunications, 2009). The author is one of Kojima's oldest friends.

- On March 10th, 2009, Shoji Kojima received la Encomienda de la Orden del Mérito Civil (Order of Civil Merit in the Grade of Commander), handed by His Excellency the Spanish Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Miguel Ángel Carriedo, in the name of His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain at the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo.
- The Spanish Embassy to Japan has announced today, February 24th, 2009, that His Majesty King Juan Carlos I will award la Encomienda de la Orden del Mérito Civil (Order of Civil Merit in the Grade of Commander) to Shoji Kojima. The ceremony will take place on March 10th at the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo.
- Tomoya MATSUDA won the Incentive Award (category: solo dance) of the 17th Flamenco Renaissance 21 held in Tokio by Japan Flamenco Association from August 22th to the 24th, 2008.
